Job Summary

Supports Director of Tax in all responsibilities of the Tax Department. Supervises the federal and state income tax return preparation and filing process. Prepares income tax provision, applying a sound knowledge of ASC 740 and FIN 48 and manages all tax-related accounts, including the monthly review of journal entries and account reconciliations. Oversees the preparation of quarterly estimate and extension calculations and payment process. Ensures compliance for income, gross receipts, property and use tax in all applicable jurisdictions, including other required informational filings. Manages taxaudits involving governmental agencies. Researches federal, state and local tax issues and makes recommendations for treatment to senior leadership. Assists Director of Tax in aspects of Treasury, Insurance, 401(k) and other functions as needed.

Education & Experience

o Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Tax
o 5+ years of diverse Accounting/Tax experience at CPA firm or in industry
o Extensive experience with corporations, strong ASC 740 background, excellent research skills, auditexperience, ability to do analysis, manage projects, identify and resolve problems, effectively communicate with management and outside taxing jurisdictions, knowledge of OneSource/Go System tax software, proficiency in MS Excelo Previous management or leadership experience applicable to this position

Key Responsibilities

o Ensure tax compliance for income, gross receipts, property and use tax in all applicable jurisdictions, including informational filings such as annual reports and business licenses
o Support Accounting Department through the maintenance of Tax General Ledger accounts, including preparation of budget and reforecast information
o Manages the entire income tax process, including tax payments, preparation of returns, the review of all calculations and supporting workpapers, filing submissions and storage of key documents
o Prepares communication to tax regulatory agencies when necessary
o Research of tax issues and project management
o Assist Director of Tax in various audits, including the annual financial statement and 401(k) audits, as well as others that arise from taxing jurisdictions
o Assist in management of company insurance policies
o Documentation of filing positions of TriWest
o Supervises staff; ensure overall goals and objectives of the department are met
o Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Tax
