JOB SUMMARY: Facilitate international operations management programs and professional training classes in support of the International Operations division’s business needs and goals. Research, develop, and customize learning solutions to support those needs; manage administration and marketing of classes and workshops; and, assist in measurement for assessing knowledge and application of learnings from the learning experience. Design and implement useful tools to assist with leadership development within the international parks. Maintain strong client working relationships with every level of the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers and facilitates UPR International Operations, management training and leadership programs. Includes scheduling, delivery, tracking, marketing, administration and evaluation. Mentors and provides guidance to program participants related to the program goals.
  • Designs and customizes program materials and curriculum; including curriculum guides, participant workbooks, presentations, job aids and online tools. Incorporates ongoing evaluation information into class materials on a continuous improvement cycle, Partners with international based UPR Talent Development teams to design and deliver localized OJT and other TD solutions for their specific locations.
  • Builds and maintains strong client, and subject matter expert relationships to gather ongoing needs assessment information and build curriculum content. Ongoing partnership with UOR, USH and USJ to optimize learning opportunities for International Operations.

SCOPE: Designs and facilitates multiple leadership development programs supporting Universal Parks and Resorts International. This position will perform non-routine work. Will require the ability to understand and adapt to other cultures and learning styles. Ability to influence decisions of moderate nature requiring a high degree of tact.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 Years of leadership training and facilitation within a multi-divisional, service-based business environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role – managing people and/or projects. Demonstrated ability to write and create training materials. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to write and create training materials.
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with culturally diverse teams and handle many tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 years of experience in design and delivery of training programs with a thorough knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and creative training methodologies. Model exemplary managerial and leadership skills. Demonstrate knowledge of employee and organizational development methodologies and practices. Experience in the development of standards and measures for evaluating learning and performance. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks and shift priorities to meet changing business needs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certification as PHR, SPHR, CA-PHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
