What we need

The Manager, Supplier Performance is responsible for overseeing supplier follow-up operations, ensuring on-time delivery performance, and driving accountability across the supply base. This role leads a team of Supplier Follow-Up Specialists, manages escalations, and partners cross-functionally to mitigate risk, resolve disruptions, and improve overall supplier performance. The Manager plays a critical role in aligning supplier execution with broader procurement and supply chain strategies.

Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.

What you'll do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supplier Follow-Up Specialists and Associates, setting clear expectations for execution, accountability, and supplier management standards.


  • Drive workload prioritization, resource alignment, and team cadence to support business needs, customer commitments, and production schedules.


  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to strengthen technical capability, escalation management, and cross-functional collaboration.


  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement across the team.


  • Own relationships with high-impact, high-risk, and strategic suppliers, serving as a key point of accountability for supplier execution and performance.


  • Lead supplier performance reviews and drive accountability for delivery, quality, and long-term performance improvement.


  • Partner with Procurement on sourcing strategies, supplier performance initiatives, and recovery planning.


  • Oversee critical and at-risk orders, ensuring proactive follow-up to mitigate delays and supply chain disruptions.


  • Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier-related risks and disruptions, leading cross-functional resolution efforts with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics.


  • Approve and monitor supplier corrective action plans to ensure timely and effective resolution.


  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address recurring supplier issues and prevent repeat disruptions.


  • Develop and maintain supplier performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to provide visibility into supplier health, operational risk, and recovery progress.


  • Analyze supplier performance trends to identify recurring issues and drive process improvements.


  • Recommend and implement improvements to supplier follow-up processes, tools, metrics, and communication workflows.


  • Support readiness for key project milestones and stage gate deliverables.


  • Communicate supplier risks, performance updates, and recovery plans to leadership.


What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.


  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, supplier management, expediting, logistics, or a related function.


  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members.


  • Experience managing supplier performance, escalations, recovery plans, or at-risk orders.


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

Our Environment

  • Up to 20% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.


  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $108,000.00 - $148,500.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
