Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to handle day-to-day management duties of a Software Engineering team in our Madison (Middleton) office. You will be responsible for fostering a highly productive engineering atmosphere in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple external touchpoints across the PlayStation business.


  • Overall management and mentorship of a talented development team of both senior and junior level engineers. Your team will primarily be full-time employees, with periodic contractors   
  • Cross-group collaboration, strong communication, company navigation and interpersonal skills
  • Participate in highly technical communication within the team and with other groups associated with specified projects to define requirements and/or modifications
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Management Team and other Engineering Managers
  • Use Agile development practices, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and high-velocity release cadence
  • Manage features through the entire development and release cycle
  • Solid leadership skills and a passion for building large scale consumer experiences
  • Comfort with proactively and independently driving for results in small team environments
  • Actively participate in the retention, mentorship, performance management, and periodic hiring of talented Software Engineers


  • 5+ years of software development experience, with exposure to leading the team
  • Prior experience in open source technologies, such as Ember, React
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, math, or equivalent technical disciplines
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and motivate teams
  • Some travelrequired, typically to San Francisco

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with console or set-top box devices
  • Understanding of Adobe Experience Manager or similar enterprise systems
