LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) is in hyper-growth mode and has been rapidly gaining market share. LMS Ads API are one of the fastest growth vehicles in this hyper grown business, enabling its long-term goals of enabling businesses to grow. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to grow the business and lead the LMS API team with a focus on enabling our partner ecosystem.


The LMS Ads API team owns the API taste and construct across various teams in LMS. They work on fundamental enhancements that enable organizational level changes in order to enable LMS ads partners. The team is responsible for API's and the backend needed for content creation. LMS strives to create and enhance a world class ads system to enable advertisers to create, enhance, and maintain the ads. The systems this team builds is fundamental to all ad types that LMS provides (e.g. video, carousel, leadgen, etc.).


We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial manager who will help accelerate the team on their mission. You will be instrumental in building strategy and lead it to delivered software. Additionally, you will lead and build a team that will help accelerate LinkedIn's Marketing Solutions business as well be a role model and professional coach for engineers. The ideal manager should be someone who motivates and works with a diverse group of talented engineers and serve as a sounding board for ideas or technical discussions.


Responsibilities:

-Lead and manage engineering team with a passion for mentoring and growing top engineering talent.

-Partner with product, business development, business operations and partners to help construct a strategy and roadmap.

-Drive execution of product and technology road-map by collaborating with team, product management, software architects, and business partners.

-Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning, while holding a high bar for craftsmanship.


Basic Qualifications:

-B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline, or related practical experience

-1+ years of experience in software engineering management

-3+ years of programming experience in OOP (Java, C/C++, C# or others)

-Experience with distributed/complex software systems


Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in Ads Domain (Ads Creation, Serving, Partner API)

-Deep knowledge of developing back-end systems

-Strong management skills for planning and executing complex projects

-Experience building and running in production (24x7 environments) large-scale distributed systems

-Ability to build and manage technical teams
