Overview:   The Manager/Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for human resources programs including:

  • Ensure that recruiting strategy is aligned with corporate strategy, headcount plan and budget, in a customer service orientation to both hiring managers and interview candidates.
  • Responsible for writing job description, job postings, recruiting efforts, sourcing, performing background verifications, reference checks, facilitating offer letters, and managing communications with prospective new hires.
  • Conduct compensation analysis and benchmarking to ensure internal and external market equity and best practices.
  • Manage the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
  • Manage the employee benefits program.
  • Ensures that company HR practices and policies are maintained, up-to-date, and in compliance with federal and state requirements; may recommend new approaches to policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR department and services for all employees.
  • Responsible for all HR documentation.
  • Optimize and manage all human resource systems – Greenhouse (ATS), Silkroad (Performance management), ADP (HRIS), Plansource (Benefits).
  • Project manager for immigration and relocation matters.
  • Manage contingent workforce; liaise with external agencies and finance department.
  • Partner with the management team to perform organizational transitions as requested.
  • Manage the Company’s performance management process, and works with departmental managers in building high performing teams and developing employee skills and talent.
  • Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters.
  • Serve as company-wide project leader for identified HR initiatives.

Background and experience:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of HRexperience.  Experience in the biotech/biopharmaceutical field is a plus. 
  • Experience in developing and building upon HRinfrastructures as needed.
  • Proven ability to effectively identify and recruit high-level, qualified talent.
  • Proven track record in proactive employee relations and retention programs.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (including FMLA, COBRA, EEO, ADA, and wage and hour laws).
  • Strong relationship building and influence skills, professional demeanor and ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a dynamic and growing business environment.  Ability to quickly grasp and embrace new business and transactional processes and procedures, work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications.
