Job Description

Cerner’s Population Health team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to manage associates enhancing and developing solutions on the HealtheIntent platform. In this role, you will oversee engineering teams and own accountability for the design, development, and quality of components, applications, solutions and systems. In addition, you will be responsible for creating technical vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with Cerner’s business objectives.

As a Manager of Engineering you will develop long-term technical roadmaps to determine continual revenue and/or cost optimization strategies. Along with creating technical visions for Population Health, you will develop associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.

About Development


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 5 years of software engineering work experience

  • Experience working with relational databases, Java, Ruby, and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, MapReduce, Storm, Spark

  • At least 2 years of people management work experience
