Infoblox is seeking a Manager, Security Operations to lead our Security Operations function. This position is based in Tacoma and will report directly to the CISO who is located in our Santa Clara, CA Headquarters location. Your team will monitor our systems and infrastructure and respond to alerts and incidents, reducing enterprise risk. This team will workclosely with other teams to ensure state of the art controls are deployed and monitored throughout Infoblox.

At Infoblox we are taking a fresh and innovative approach at controlling, analyzing, and securing networks by intelligently managing core network services (DNS and DHCP)


  • Lead our Infrastructure and Monitoring & Incident Response teams to secure and monitor our corporate and cloud infrastructures
  • Work with team leads to ensure roadmap objectives are met as well as effectively manage interrupt-driven workloads
  • Oversee and participate in security architecture and systems hardening efforts
  • Oversee and participate in efforts to instrument and monitor our systems, applications, networks and third-party providers
  • Oversee and participate in incident response activities, as needed
  • Manage training, education and career development for team members
  • Assist in recruiting new team members


  • 3-5 years experience in managing an infrastructure security team
  • The ability to guide senior team members to reach their full potential, and to recruit and develop less experienced team members
  • The ability to build cross-functional partnerships with teams outside of security to accomplish security objectives and improve awareness
  • A highly motivated individual with a passion for streamlining processes and operating in a highly organized environment
  • Experience securing modern web environments
  • Experience with, and strong knowledge of, AWS, Linux, Docker, ELK and other modern systems engineering tools, technology and best practices
  • Strong understanding of security topics such as access control, systems hardening, threat modeling, encryption, vulnerability management, digital forensics and incident response
  • A strong bias towards automation and innovative thinking
  • Experience with tools/technologies such as Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, ASA, IDS/IPS, OSSEC, SIEM, CASB, MDM, SSO and access control management solutions

The ideal candidate will possess…

  • Familiarity with compliance and risk management frameworks, such as FedRAMP, SOC2, SOX, ISO27001, ITIL
  • Industry certifications CISSP, CISM, GIAC


  • 4-year college degree preferred
