Manager, SEC Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting will be primarily responsible for the preparation of filings and documents required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange and Commission ("SEC") and providing support for the quarterly earnings release process. This role will also be assisting with research and documentation of technical accounting issues and significant transactions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting, excellent written and oral communication skills and extreme attention to detail, and is a self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines and competing priorities.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in designing and implementation of new policies and procedures on the external reporting process
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation of all external financial reports
  • Prepare disclosure checklists, ensure the filings are properly formatted and accurate and perform XBRL tagging procedures
  • Prepare and organize the quarterly SEC reporting calendar, which involves coordination with the external auditors, executives and members of finance, legal and other departments
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements and monitoring new pronouncements
  • Assist in preparing and updating the accounting policies and providing day-to-day operational guidance to business partners in the application of and adherence to the policies
  • Assist in the month-end close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations on equity and other non-recurring transactions
  • Prepare various deliverables for the company's internal management reporting including cash flows, equity rollforward and select KPI trending analysis
  • Assist in reviewing account balances and/or preparing necessary schedules to support year-end audit or quarterly reviews by an independent audit firm
  • Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by management

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Active CPA required
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience including Big 4 public accounting and software industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Prior Form S-1 preparation experience preferred
  • WDesk and XBRL experience preferred
