The Sales Comp Team handles variablecompensation and performancereporting for all partners across Zillow Group. We provide a strategicpartnership with our business partners by developing and processingcompensation plans that are motivating and align with company goals in driving growth. We strive for accuracy, timeliness, and reaching severalchannels to execute on all of our salescompensationprocesses, while also providing insightful analysis and data to the various groups wesupport.

About the role

This role requires an ambitious, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented candidate with experience in building trusted relationships with key business partners. This person will flourish with change, relish solving new problems, and enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment.

  • Work closely with Sales, Sales Operations/Strategy, Finance, and HR/Legal teams to align on and be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales compensation plans (with a concentration on our newest Mortgage Marketplace)
  • Ensure compensation plans are effectively supporting the various Marketplaces’ business goals and strategies
  • Collaborate with Senior leaders to provide strategic recommendations and solutions on comp plan design, structure and pilots
  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports and their monthly processes around data compilation, commission/bonus calculations, statement distribution, data integrity, and compliance with policy and plans
  • Focus on improving standardization, automation, and scalability initiatives to generate a high-level of accuracy and efficiency in the commissions/bonuses and data-gathering process
  • Become the subject matter expert on all sales compensation plans, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers for each business unit we support

Who you are

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience as a Compensation/Commissions Manager, Finance Manager, Sales Operations/Strategy Manager, Sales Analytics Manager, or similar role at a mid-to-large sized technology or fast-growing company, preferably internet or media industry
  • Loan Officer/Mortgage commissions or compensationexperience desirable
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills and preferredexperience in Salesforce, Zuora, Tableau, SQL, Anaplan, or CompenSafe (or other Mortgage commissions software)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, time-management and social skills
