Coordinates daily, weekly and monthly Respiratory Care department clinical operations. Assists with oversight of daily spending and adherence to monthly budget projections. Takes part in employee performance evaluations, and assures that adequate levels and competency of staff are maintained. Assists with compliance concerning all regulatory and credentialing agencies. Position requires, occasional/as needed, patient care assignments to cover for vacations, sick calls and volume increases. Manager will participate in on-call coverage associated with the departments assigned to the Respiratory/ Neuro-Diagnostic. Actively participates in education initiatives associated with respiratory therapy for the benefit of all hospital disciplines. Assumes Department Director's responsibility when absent (ie sick, vacations and position vacancy). Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage. Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Respiratory Therapy program.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, required
- 2 years' experience as a front line supervisor preferred
