  • Generate cost savings to the Service Organization by independently processing Service Certified instruments for resale, and non-resale instruments into R parts stock for reuse.
  • Responsible for processing E3R returns providing troubleshooting/repair and full failure analysis/reporting. Handles challenging diagnosis/repairs within the RC as needed.
  • Identifies and oversees development, testing, and deployment of processes and standard work for Repair Center activities. Leads special project development/documentation as required.
  • Provides advice, assistance, and mentoring to all junior RC staff members and FSE rotators.
  • Maintains a high-quality focus to all Repair Center activities, independently researching root cause of issues found and driving corrective actions for reported quality issues using available DBS tools and methodology.
  • Identifies process improvements by considering ways to improve effectiveness and productivity based on GEMBA activities.
  • Occasionally travels to Gemba to do quality audits as necessary.
  • Responsible for evaluating Repair Center staff via mid and end of year review cycle, development plans, and engagement survey action items, delivered on time to published Company schedules.
  • Maintain tools and measuring devices and insure they are operational and meet facility needs.
  • Responsible for deploying required environmental, health, and safety protocols ensuring a safe and fully compliant workplace.


  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Position requires 5+ years’ experience working on Sciex & related OEM gear as a Sr. Field Service Engineer, FSAS, Regional or Territory Specialist or related job category.

  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Functional knowledge of DBS.
  • Detailed knowledge of Sciex instrument related procedures and tests (Install, PM, Service etc)
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and follow complex written instructions and procedures, as well as verbal direction.
  • Continuous improvement attitude and analytical approach
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist.
  • Must be able to climb a minimum 8-foot ladder
  • Exposed to moving parts, electricity, and chemicals that require adherence to established safety protocols
  • Limited travel, primarily for job training
