RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages operations relative to sales of training and mission support services to clients. Coordinates and provides advance planning, data analyses, customer interface, budget management and reporting. Plays a key role in overall financial analysis and market research required in the evaluation of potential business development opportunities, processes and projects.

  • Plans, implements and manages multiple projects/tasks, frequently within very compressed timelines
  • Maintains data base for opportunity tracking and customer contact information
  • Provide analytical and financial support for the assessment of business development projects
  • Works closely and coordinates activities with various departments in preparing both financial models and presentations to explain and justify potential targets to senior staff
  • Assessments include the review of industry trends (economic, governmental, demographic and technological), intellectual property, new products and technologies, strategic fit, high-level contract terms, competitive analysis, risk analysis and compliance with our corporate due diligence process
  • Responsible for preparing periodic and regular reports of business development and proposal activities
  • Track individual project projections against actual performance
  • Fulfill ad hoc research projects, as requested
  • May perform profit and loss analysis for various opportunities and programs, as directed
  • Responsible for producing budget dashboard reporting for the Business Development Organization
  • Responsible for producing bi-weekly pipeline dashboard for the Business Development Organization
  • Ensures that project actions are coordinated and follow-up for closure
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-8 years of project management experience, preferably in a government contracting environment
  • Strong financial modeling, research skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact confidently with senior management
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure
  • Must be extremely organized and have a strong attention to detail
  • Must possess exceptional time management skill and ability to prioritize activities with minimal guidance, and possess above average written communications skills
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and aggressive to prevent and work through issues using standard project management techniques
  • High level of experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to quickly develop graphical and pictorial representations of current state of business and historical trends and analysis
  • Certification in Project Management is desirable
