The Production Manager provides leadership and expertise in establishing and maintaining an efficient manufacturing program in support of the division’s strategic plan.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide the operational leadership of the production organization to meet production requirements for on time delivery, quality, and cost
• Develop, monitor, maintain, and improve key performance indicators to measure production performance to targets
• Ensure production staffing is in place to support capacity and training requirements
• Ensure the quality of all products being manufactured in their respective areas are being met
• Close collaboration and teamwork with supply chain, quality, manufacturing engineering, and customer service organizations
• Ensure that ISO procedures are followed and improved
• Prepare cost and budget estimates in support of the budgeting process
• Collaborate with appropriate groups to constantly improve efficiency and reduce lead times
• Develop and maintain operator efficiency and quality through measurement and reporting of performance
• Provide production support to the new product introduction process for pilot builds, ramp and into volume production
• Provide the support and resources to maintain a proactive safety program
• Responsibilities as a manager include interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Manage supervisors multi-shift facility

 Education & Experience:

• Associate Degree strongly preferred; BS/BA degree a plus
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required including previous management experience leading production organizations.
• Experience in low volume, high mix manufacturing, manual assembly, and electronic devices assembly preferred
• Experience using ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or other equivalent systems)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

• Must have demonstrated leadership skills to manage staff as well as interact with other functions to successfully achieve results in a proactive, positive way
• Must have excellent communication and team skills to create and maintain positive work environment
• Must have prior experience hiring employees, directing work, and appraising performance.
