The Manager – GSC Product Data Management is responsible for the data creation of specific brand(s) and a specific category(ies) of products. For the brand(s) and/or category(ies) assigned, the Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate data creation and maintenance including phase out and discontinuation of saleable, promotional and collateral materials, specifically within the following processes:
Code creation / maintenance from new product launch throughout the life of the product
BOM management and maintenance for new and existing products throughout the life of the product
Master Data is the core data that enables the ability to process sales orders from order receipt through shipment to customers, and is the foundation upon which sales and business analysis is performed. Therefore, timeliness, accuracy, integrity and adherence to global data standards are of utmost importance in creating and maintaining material master data. This position is responsible for creating accurate master data for all finished good master data entered into ELC systems throughout the lifecycle of the product and ensuring that all data elements created for materials adhere to the global material master data standards.
This position will ensure maintenance of appropriate material statuses in accordance within established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and identify any missing or incorrect data elements. This position will interface with and serve as the primary contact for the business (customer service, marketing, supply chain, plants, etc.) on any internal and external issues pertaining to Material Master Data for the assigned brand(s) and/or category(ies).

o Interfaces on a daily basis with Marketing, New Product Launch management, the Brand Supply Managers, Packaging, Costing, Formula Control and Global/Regional Plants/DCs.

o Creates master data for all materials (code and BOM creation) for assigned brand(s) and category(ies) by applying ELC material master data standards and rules consistently throughout a product’s lifecycle
o Ensures all master data at each stage gate is complete before releasing to the next process
o Monitors material statuses throughout a material’s lifecycle in accordance with brand and plant direction to ensure statuses are appropriate for all saleable, promotional and collateral materials.
