The Manufacturing Leader is responsible for the overall performance, strategy, and execution of the manufacturing operation. This role provides full operational leadership for a new plant, including ramp-up activities, team build-out, process implementation, and production readiness. The Manufacturing Leader will establish standards, implement policies, and oversee all production-related engineering and operational activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational discipline, people leadership, and experience in coating processes, including powder coating and epoxy operations.
You will make an impact by: - Provide end-to-end leadership for the manufacturing operation, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
- Lead the ramp-up of a new manufacturing plant, including hiring, onboarding, and organizational structure development.
- Define and execute manufacturing project plans, timelines, and milestones to support start-up and ongoing operations.
- Implement manufacturing policies, procedures, and standards aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all production-related engineering activities, ensuring processes are capable, standardized, and continuously improved.
- Manage and optimize Powder Coating and Epoxy processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing leadership and production team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and operational excellence principles.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and P&O (HR).
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading plant start-ups or production ramp-ups in a Lean environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Powder Coating and/or Epoxy coating processes.
- Experience hiring, leading, and developing manufacturing teams.
- Strong project management skills, safety, quality, and continuous improvement experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certifications.
- A strong people-first leadership mindset focused on culture and accountability.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Proven track record of improving cost, throughput, and quality metrics.

The pay range for this position is $145,156 - $248,839 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
