Overview

Summary/Objective

The Manager, Process Improvement is responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities to create value through exceptional Business Acumen and Analytical capabilities; then pursue them using a holistic Continuous Improvement approach to ensure their long-term adoption.

Essential Functions

Apply exceptional problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and solve complex business challenges

following a Continuous Improvement Methodology:

  • Contribute to the creation, implementation and maintenance of policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance;
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis by identifying the problem, collecting data, identifying causal factors and root cause (s) and implementing solutions to move the project forward;
  • Continuously move high priority initiatives forward by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and translating the analytical findings to a non-analytical audience;
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for each area of responsibility;
  • Use Continuous Improvement Methodology such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify waste, reduce cycle times, and identify opportunities for improvement, optimizing the improvement process;
  • Analyze each projects' area of opportunity through understanding risks, budgets, value generation potential and level of effort to drive results; Generate actionable recommendations for key and executive stakeholders;
  • Lead Kaizen events and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to a team of Continuous Improvement Engineers.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary project team for the implementation of each selected improvement track;
  • Ensure that the improved process is replicable and that gains are materialized and sustainable;
  • Lead and develop a team to drive business performance and continuous improvement; and
  • Champion the development of the Continuous Improvement Culture within ACA


Qualifications
  • BS in Industrial, Systems, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Business-Related field
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced, often ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
  • Able to jump in and solve complex problems using analytics and strategic thinking.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • 3+ years of Project Management Experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders with different backgrounds and at different levels in the organization
  • Technical skills: Python, SQL
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or higher (this role will require the candidate to lead Kaizen events, perform Root Cause analysis, etc.)


Preferred
  • 5 GPA or higher
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Technical skills: R, UI Path, or other RPA software


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

Travel

Up to 25% travel.
