The Manager Patient Access AMS will implement the plans and programs for the Patient Access team covering AMS, directly supporting the Accuray sales organization and supporting relationships with regional Medicare Contractors and Commercial Payers.

The responsibilities include the implementation of programs and health economic models designed to demonstrate for customers and prospects the value of the Accuray offering over the product lifetime.

This individual should have experience with reimbursement and guideline development, and should be capable of demonstrating health economic models.


· Support any/all sales opportunities (new system sales, TITU, software upgrades, etc.) with customer orientated information that highlights the value proposition of existing and future Accuray products

o Healthcare economic trends

o Payer coverage/reimbursement analysis

· Support existing Accuray customer base by providing periodic in-services that provide customers with high-value, actionable data (i.e. market analytics, marketing best practices, coverage, coding, reimbursement, etc.). The primary goals are socket retention, enhanced customer relationships, and vendor differentiation

· Support Accuray field sale sales team by assisting in the development of tools to demonstrate economic value and reimbursement advantages of Accuray technologies

· Develop and execute regional Medicare and private payer strategies to protect current or secure improved coverage/payment for Accuray technologies

· Analyze, prepare, and coordinate stakeholder comments on significant regional draft payer policy/payment statements (i.e. MAC Local Coverage Determinations, MAC G code rates, etc.)

· Analyze and synthesize information in CMS Medicare proposed and final rules, identify areas of risk and opportunity, draft proposed rule comments to CMS, produce and disseminate summaries to internal and external stakeholders

· Provide all new Accuray customers with a tailored reimbursement/marketing presentation to ensure billing/coding competency and to share best practice strategies for the effective promotion of radiation oncology program(s)

· Respond to routine customer billing/coding/reimbursement questions surrounding existing Accuray products


• Bachelor's degree required

• 5+ years reimbursement experience with/knowledge of Medicare reimbursement methodologies required; radiation therapy business experience a plus

• Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative and fast-paced team environment

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Customer-focused; must have knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction

• Results-oriented with demonstrated implementation skills

• Excellent written communication and presentation skills

• Must possess the ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management, physicians, clinicians, payers, customers and patients

• Familiarity with health technology assessment and health economic models

• Ability to travel up to 50%
