Reporting to the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services in conjunction with the Chairman of Psychiatry, Medical Directors of Psychiatry and the Nursing Director of Behavioral Health Services develops and administers the Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Programs. Directs and supervises all outpatient program and personnel activities. Designs, recommends, implements and assists with marketing new and existing outpatient psychiatric treatment programs. Monitors the budget for all areas within OutpatientPsychiatry.
Develops departmental short and long term goals and plans to accomplish agreed-upon goals in consultation with superior, subordinate supervisory personnel and the Medical Director.
Provides clinical administration of the Behavioral Health Services (BHS) outpatient program assuring for the provision of timely unit staffing, adherence to the group program schedule, clinical supervision for licensed staff and confirming that utilization and case management functions are performed in accordance with the hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Participates in the development of and administration of a departmental program budget which provides for the attainment of agreed-upon goals in accordance with the approved plans.
Participates in the formulation of policies for the department and secures the appropriate approvals. Develops and administers the procedures necessary to implement the approved policies and provides the overall direction necessary to ensure efficient services. Ensures compliance with the JCAHO standards of operation.
Remains informed of developments in the area of expertise. Participates in educational programs and activities such as conferences, workshops, interdisciplinary professional meetings and self directed learning.
Demonstrates active participation and networking in professional health care organizations and community organizations/services.
Hires, promotes, demotes, separates and writes/administers performance evaluations to subordinate staff as necessary within their assigned area.
Conforms to the established Standards of Behavior.

This position requires a Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work and a full clinical licensure (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
A minimum of seven ()(3) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a hospital behavioral health setting is required.
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor licensure (CADC) is highly desirable.
Ability to problem solve, resolve conflict and drive employee engagement is essential.
