Position Overview:

Manatt Health is seeking a highly qualified manager or senior manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally recognized healthcare consulting team and work with clients that are passionate about improving healthcare.


Responsibilities:

This position is an important part of the Manatt Health team. Managers work on a broad range of substantive areas including payment and delivery system transformation; healthcare reform implementation; hospital, health system and academic medical center operations/strategy; strategic planning services; healthcare IT strategy; Medicaid policy and program developments (state/federal); Medicare program elements; Marketplace programs and policy; and life science market access, coverage and reimbursement strategies.

Specific responsibilities include project management, presentation development and delivery, in-depth qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on healthcare business and policy issues, redesign and innovation, clinical process design, strategic planning, healthcare reform consulting, and market access consulting. Knowledge of hospital operations/strategy, payment reforms and accountable care organizations is a plus. Preferred candidates will have strong analytic skills with the demonstrated ability to analyze data to generate descriptive statistics, conduct more complex analyses that address strategy and policy questions, and develop pro forma financial statements. Prior consulting experience and strong project management experience are required. Ideal candidates' fundamental orientation will be outward and client-facing.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in public health, business administration, public administration, public policy, health administration or healthcare management from a leading institution.
  • Five or more years of substantive experience with healthcare subject matter experience, preferably with delivery systems or a consulting firm with provider experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor information for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong computer skills, including exceptional knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables and advanced formulas).
  • Demonstrated consulting, client management and project management experience required.
  • A self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple diverse projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, as well as develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.
