The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, professional and highly motivated oncology leader to join our team, as the Manager of Oncology Support Services. The Manager of Oncology Support Services will oversee the successful operations of the Patient Navigation Program and the Genetics Program; including a multidisciplinary approach between nursing, social work, nutrition, patient financial assistance, community outreach, patient rehabilitation and survivorship. In order to be successful in this role, it is critical that qualified candidates have a solid background in and understanding of Oncology Support Services, Oncology Service Line Leadership, and/or experience working in Genetics or Patient Navigation.
Our Oncology Support Services offer a patient centered approach to treatment, providing resources and assistance to patients and their families, ensuring the best possible patient experience and outcomes. The Manager Oncology Support Services should be well-versed and successful in community outreach, building successful partnerships and project management from a high-level. The Manager will also be responsible for measuring the success of programs and services, by reviewing analytics and program data. Additionally, The Manager will be responsible for the marketing and communication of Northside Sponsored Programs and our partnerships. This responsibility will require strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, in addition to an in-depth knowledge of the appropriate communication mediums.
The Manager of Oncology Support Services will work closely with the Director of Oncology Quality and Support Services, coordinating activities among all 3 hospitals; Northside Atlanta, Forsyth and Cherokee; and comprehensive outpatient services offered by Atlanta Cancer Care, Georgia Cancer Specialists and other Northside affiliates. Excellent critical thinking abilities, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to adjust and quickly respond to changing priories are required. Additional position requirements include a minimum of 5 years prior healthcare experience, with at least 2 of those in a leadership role.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare is expected, a Bachelors of Nursing is preferred, and a Master’s Degree is strongly preferred.
