Responsibilities

The Manager of Revenue Cycle, In-house, oversees the functions and personnel of the in-house Revenue Cycle Team by performing the following duties.  This is a full-time exempt position.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures each patient is given the highest level of customer service and every staff member is treated with the utmost respect
  • Ensures courteous and thorough communications with patients by staff
  • Coordinates activities of all areas of the in-house Revenue Cycle team to ensure prompt billing and payment and clean claims submissions
  • Reviews, corrects and maintains all daily/weekly accounting documents
  • Maintains reports to monitor each sub-team (Coding, Billing, Claims Processing) and the team as a whole
  • Maintains an open line of communication with Regional Patient Access Managers
  • Directly oversees all month-end processes within sub-teams
  • Analyzes individual insurance payer performance
  • Identifies and research trend changes and variations to identify impact on business operations
  • Provides regular communication and reporting to Director of Revenue Integrity
  • Interviews, hires and evaluates employees.  Mentor, coach and motivate as needed
  • Attendance requirements are based on your current role and status of position (FT, PT or PRN).  Please direct attendance requirements to your immediate supervisor and/or refer to the Employee Handbook for more attendance/scheduling details/policies

Supervisory Responsibility:

Responsible for supervision of the Revenue Cycle team

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ management experience in current or related field
  • Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff and the public
