The Manager of Professional Services role will ultimately be responsible for the day to day operations of our Learning Services team. The Learning Services team focuses on the planning, development, and delivery of internal and external end user training materials and courses to the WellSky customer base. The Manager will own the ongoing execution of classroom, web-based, and annual boot camp training events. In addition to these responsibilities the Manager will also own the overall strategy for our Learning Management System and curriculum strategy tied to this platform across all the WellSky software solutions.

Key Activities:

  • Provide day to day operational direction of the learning services team within the overall WellSky services organization
  • Define and establish a recurring training curriculum plan across all the WellSky software brands to ensure coverage, frequency, and delivery modes are addressed
  • Manage the day to day utilization and profitability of the Learning Services team members across the existing and planned book of business
  • Ensure alignment between the Learning Services team offerings and sales is achieved and meet market needs
  • Execute on Learning Services strategy to ensure operational goals are exceeded on a quarterly basis
  • Manage the Learning Services technical environments and Learning Management platforms
  • Ensure overall profitability of the Learning Services team and achievement of the annual Learning Services financial plan

Job Competencies:

  • Candidate will have experience in providing and delivery complex training through various mediums to enterprise grade software users
  • Candidate will have a strong pre-sales aptitude and ability to support the complex nature of new learning services deals with enterprise grade software customers
  • Candidate will have a good sense of financial planning and profit and loss planning capability
  • Candidate will have strong scheduling experience and ability
  • Candidate will have an eye for innovation and creativity to continue to grow the learning services function over time

Job Requirements:

  • Four-year degree, specialized in business, computer science, instructional design, education or other relevant subjects
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a training capacity, pre-sales capacity, or software company performing training
  • Experience establishing market pricing for new and enhanced professional services offerings
  • Must have a good knowledge of the training landscape and best practices, specific to software
  • Must have been a trainer, or had experience as a trainer in some capacity previously and have experience with leading people and processes
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience running a team with profit and loss ownership or involvement
  • Experience in a billable services environment, focused on external customer requirements and needs

  • Prior experience managing a learning services team in the software industry
  • Prior experience managing a team of at least 10 individuals
  • Prior experience with managing a profit and loss for a team
  • Prior experience with leading Learning Management Systems
  • Prior experience with developing Training as a Service offerings
  • Prior experience growing an existing learning services practice by double digits year over year
