Job Summary

Working closely with the Director of Network Services, the Manager of Network Services is responsible for overseeing both the technical and managerial aspects of the Systems Engineering department. He/She will have a proven track record of developing a successful team to drive department strategy while maintaining a positive can-do team attitude and customer service centric approach. The motivated and self-driven associate will plan, manage and design the company’s IT infrastructure while simultaneously managing the IT team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineering leadership with a combination of network and voice engineering
  • 5+ year successfully managing a team comprised of 6+ Network Engineers
  • 2+ years of experience managing network solutions supporting IaaS Cloud

Job Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams and managing projects
  • Experience leading teams to successfully implement solutions within defined budgets and timelines
  • Experience managing multiple teams with multiple disciplines
  • In-depth understanding of the department budgeting process including participation in business analysis as defined by Director, forecasting annual costs, reviewing monthly P&L
  • Program development and management experience with building networks to scale
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to collect, present and document IT system metrics related to system performance, planned and unplanned outages and present to management and director level associates
  • Proven record of managing multiple projects and successfully meeting budget and timeline objectives
  • Knowledge of routing and switching
  • Knowledge of network design and operations
  • Knowledge of application delivery technology
  • Functional knowledge of VoIP design operations
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services
  • Implementation and management experience with Network technologies (SDWAN, management overlay platforms, IOS, NX-OS, etc)
  • Advanced networking/distributed computing environment concepts (Routing protocols, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP)
  • Experience developing holistic monitoring programs
  • In-depth troubleshooting of software and hardware issues including root cause analysis
  • Exceptional analytical, research and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education/experience
