The Manager of Clinical Learning will participate in strategic planning to anticipate workforce and retention solutions, develop plans, evaluate processes for corporate orientation and onboarding, collaborate with academic institutions for oversight of “RN Residency” transition to practice programs, and coordinate simulation learning to support program accreditation.
Graduate degree in nursing, education, health services administration, or health related field required.
Bachelor of Science in nursing or bachelor degree in healthcare related field and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Graduate degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
As a clinician, such as Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacist or Physical Therapist, one must hold a current license by the State of Florida.
National specialty certification in area of practice.
Three (3) years of leadership experiencerequired.
Two (2) years education experiencerequired.
One (1) year healthcare experiencerequired.
Partner with operational managers to identify, develop, and implement educational programs to enhance the clinical/non clinical competence of Orlando Health team members.
Oversight of the inter-professional continuing education processes and programs for nurses, allied health, and physicians.
Collaborate with hospital site education leadership to develop and implement education programs based on corporate quality and process improvement initiatives.
Develops, plans, and evaluates processes for corporate orientation and onboarding.
Evaluates and coordinates a variety of educational products and services within Orlando Health.
Influences the development of educational strategies that support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Assess, plan, organize and direct department activities.
Establishes and implements department policies/procedures and guidelines.
Develops and manages department budgetin conjunction with Director.
Promotes a satisfied, healthy work environment for the workforce by establishing a climate of growth, challenge and development of team members.
Integrates education technology using appropriate adult learning theories and project management principles.
Evaluates department performance and utilizes change management principles as needed to implement process and quality improvement.
Models effective critical thinking skills.
Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
