It is the primary responsibility of the Corporate Entertainment Marketing and Sponsorship team to deliver unique, memorable and world class entertainment experiences to our guests, employees and partners, while delivering consistent, innovative and efficient operations. The Manager of Brand Activation provides leadership to, assists with strategic direction to, and is responsible for contributing to the success of the Brand Activation team. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and MGM Resorts International policies and procedures and legal requirements. At all times, must ensure the goals and interest of the department, division and all MGM Resorts International properties (individually and collectively) are upheld and preserved.

  • Assist with mentorship of indirect reports, which may include but is not limited to interviewing, training, retaining, oversight and coaching competent direct and indirect reports by establishing clear roles and responsibilities and providing regular feedback and guidance on departmental short and long term vision.
  • Provide leadership to division and corporation, which may include serving on committees and participating in various cross-divisional activities.
  • Executes against Key Performance Indicators for Brand Activation, which may include, however not limited to brand impressions, consumer engagement, product sales, maximizing ROI sponsor retention, etc.
  • In collaboration with event promoters, agency partners, entertainment, media, PR, and other departments, plan and execute brand activations that drive consumer engagement and brand integration during a wide variety of events.
  • Manage activation process and platform for consistently excellent execution across the organization.
  • Leverage partners and relationships to develop ancillary revenue opportunities and cross property visitation pre and post activations.
  • Maintain and modify reporting strategies in order to track and achieve KPIs; able to interpret complex reports and assist in modifying variables to achieve accuracy; develop and define departmental strategies by working closely with analytics teams.
  • Understand detailed functions and dependency on variety of internal technologies, systems and departments; able to modify departmental plans as variability in outside forces occurs in order to continue progression of goals.
  • Create and lead regular productive meetings and interactions with clients, resort management, senior executives and team.
  • Monitor news, current events, market and relevant hospitality, event and entertainment trends.
  • Acquire and utilize all available consumer data, industry trends, and venue statistics to drive tactics.
  • Understands and abides by all company policies, procedures, practices and philosophies.
  • Provide account management, project management and outside agency teams for creation, planning, and coordination of brand activation and corporate initiatives to ensure accurate execution of engaging partner and sponsor brand activations and event extensions, including communications across all supporting resort departments.
  • Cooperates and communicates with Operations and Property teams.
  • Provide direction and execution of high value programs.
  • Achieve activation goals and measure against metrics to defined success, as well as constantly evaluate and improve activations.
  • Manage allocation of existing cooperative marketing funds, ensuring alignment with sponsor goals, as well as corporation strategic priorities.
  • Execute comprehensive strategy for cooperative marketing fund activation process, including budgeting, calendar planning, communication, agency execution, evaluation, optimization, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external professional relationships.
  • Ability to influence across teams to achieve goals required.
  • Strong ability to navigate a complex organization with a wide variety of brands, target consumers and available assets. Think creatively and can pivot approach to adapt to situation or client.
  • Work collaboratively with and lead cross functional teams in order to achieve departmental goals, which may include advertising, media planners/buyers, legal, risk management, public relations, casino marketing, corporate marketing, front line operations, strategic sourcing, information technology, national and international market development, and resort teams.
  • Assist colleagues and completes special projects as needed.
  • Take an active role part in all facets of the industry, including attending and representing division and corporation at trade related functions.
  • Plan and coordinate on-premise events, ensuring accurate execution of comprehensive brand activations to maximize impact of new and existing sponsors, including but not limited to advertising creative and placement, internet marketing, social media execution, sweepstakes, etc.
  • Communicate and collaborate with sponsorship sales teams throughout contracting process.
  • Act as day to day point of contact for account management, project management and outside agencies.
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks as set forth by supervisors, including but not limited to, answering phones, schedule meetings, calendar management, office supply orders, maintain current client database, submitting Logon Service Requests on behalf of the department, maintaining files and SharePoint, completion of basic reporting, etc.
  • Travel preparations, which include air/hotel reservations, transportation, and shipment of hotel promotional materials.
  • Creation of deck templates and presentations using Microsoft Office PowerPoint and other necessary tools.
  • Liaise with specialists, managers and directors sharing the same discipline.
  • Provide supportive tasks for supervisors for assigned account management, project management and outside agencies and support company initiatives and events.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hotel Management, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in sales, sports, marketing, sponsorship, events, advertising, media or other relevant area.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and oversee implementation of projects and programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in developing and delivering complex programs and projects with positive, measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Worked varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge and proficient with computers and MS Office, such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Hospitality related experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
