JOB POSITION: Manager of ABI Program Nursing Education
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN with Master’s Degree in Nursing with CNS tract requirements preferred (professional experience in the field of interest accepted).
Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience in either Med/Surg or Rehab. CNS experiencepreferred or other Advance practice Nursing in neuro. .
Licensure: Current Georgia RN license, Advanced Practice CNS (preferred)
Certification: Current BLS certification. ACLS preferred; .
The Advance Degree clinical nurse expert will function in the role of an expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher. He/she will manage and oversee evidence based practices for brain, spinal and other neurologic disorders and work with other managers and directors assuring nursing practices are of quality to the center and to the program. The advance degree clinical nurse expert will sit on hospital wide and program committees to enhance best practices and work with the CNE and ABI Program Directors to support collaborative practices in nursing and therapy. He/she will manage nurse educators to support implementation of best practices. Within these roles, the advance clinical nurse will need to have skills as a role model, collaborator, innovator, advocate and change agent.
