SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the overall day-to-day management of the care and services provided by the department and its related operations. This position is also responsible for the supervision of staff performance. This position practices within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Healthcare policies.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree with a Master's Degree preferred. Either Bachelor's degree or Master's degree must be in Nursing. A valid California RN license as well as a valid California Driver's license with an acceptable driving record and car insurance with the minimum limits as required by state law. Minimum three (3) years clinical experience, one (1) year of which shall have been in pediatric critical care nursing. Minimum one (1) year leadership experience with a minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job. Computer skills including data bases, spreadsheets, word documents and power point presentations as well as customer service and communication skills are required.
