What You’ll Do

You will fill a key leadership opportunity within the IT Network Services team. This is a rapidly transforming domain, with a DevOps approach at the center to drive transformation, automation, and simplicity. The position spans across designing, building, deploying and operating Cisco IT – CloudPorts, a creative, evolving network solution to support our Cloud transformation.

You will set the vision, collecting requirements, formulating technical consensus, building and leading a global and multi-functional team in developing, deploying, operating, and maintaining the solution.

Additionally, you will lead groundbreaking actions inside our team to create an Agile mindset where Fast Execution, Quality, and Innovation thrive.

As an early adopter of Cisco’s new products, you will be sharing IT’s experience with Cisco Customers and Business Units.

Who You’ll Work With

We’re an agile, fun, passionate Network Infrastructure team within Cisco IT. Collaborating and working closely with Cisco Business Teams on new Cisco technologies/solutions in the Corporate and Data Center Network to deliver the most effective solution to our customer’s problems, from design, implementation, and operations. The rare mix of our disruptive approach to traditional network infrastructure by going to software-defined networks.

Who You Are

You are a dynamic leader who will provide both thought leadership and first line management to partner to build a successful DevOps organization. We are looking for a leader who can wear several hats and continue to develop and cultivate the talent within the team. Requirements include:

  • BS + 12 years’ experience
  • Experience in managing remote teams and a global organization that is 24X7
  • Sound technical depth - ability to deep-dive into technical network architecture and design when needed to tackle a complex problem.
  • Confirmed leadership skills in building leadership talent through coaching/mentoring, collaboration beyond boundaries, supervising without authority and leading change.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills and be able to influence and communicate effectively to both Executive-Level Management as well as organizational managers
  • Agile and DevOps culture and iterative development practices is a key transformation we are undertaking.
