Business Partner for the Operations Control group within the Mission Engineering and Opertions organization.  Operations Control is responsible for the TT&C infrastructure (internal to SS/L and for some of our external customers) and the planning and execution of all SSL operations activities, including LEOP and long term operations.  Execute work in accordance with financial, technical, and schedule requirements. 

 The Business Partner will work with the Technical Partner and cover all management aspects for the group.  The primary focus of the Business Partner is:

  • Work to ensure employee development and skill broadening
  • Develop career paths
  • Conduct 1-on-1 reviews with staff
  • Participate in manpower resource meetings
  • Provide long-term strategy for the direction of the organization

 The Operations Control group is comprised of:

  • Mission Managers
  • Flight Engineers
  • Network Coordinators
  • Ground Field Engineers
  • Operations Administrators


  • Bachelors degree
  • More than 10 years experience
  • Experience in management, either direct reports or cross-functional teams
  • Able to be a champion for change and empower employees
