The role will focus on our on-platform marketing and will be responsible forbudgeting, media planning, growth strategy and performance of campaigns,optimizing to grow and retain listeners and acquire subscribers to our paid tiers ofservice. This person will partner with Product and Marketing Analytics, ProductManagement, Research Science, Design and Artist Marketing, PYM and ClientServices to drive fact based decisions around audience and messaging, and executecampaigns.Responsibilities:· Expert on our subscription marketing channels including productfunctionality, how listeners engage with them, and the data instrumentation· Expert on all aspects of the lifecycle and mechanics of subscription marketingacross the consumer subscription space including acquisition, upsell, trials,subscription, churn, winbacks· Deep understanding and command of complex multi-tiered service eco-systems and the strategies it takes to drive value across consumersmigrating from tier to tier· Create and manage comprehensive and cutting-edge marketing and mediastrategies to maximize lifetime value· Drive entire optimization cycle of the campaigns you own strategies,maintaining performance in partnership with product and marketing teams· Partner with science teams, finance groups, yield management andmarketing analytics teams to develop, execute, and report on AB tests tooptimize marketing across channels that you manage· Expertly manage all aspects of the channels you own, deriving key insightsfrom data and transforming that into impactful marketing strategies· Independently drive multimillion-dollar media budgeting strategies frominception through to execution· Partner with Product and Marketing Analytics, Product Marketing, ResearchScience, and Artist Marketing to drive decisions around targeting andmessaging· Analyze performance and contribute to budgeting and bottoms-up forecasts· Collaborate with peers on Listener Marketing to understand cross-channelperformance· Drive complicated testing strategies from start to finish across high-visibility,impactful initiatives for Pandora· Be the resident expert in all aspects of the channels you own and worktirelessly to identify opportunities for improvement and partnering with theright cross functional team to ensure the opportunity is prioritized andexecuted· Deep expertise in the consumer mobile app world and with subscriptions· Deep skills and ability to prioritize marketing ideas between what will drivethe most revenue and value for the company, while balancing the consumerexperience.· Manage a resource who helps with ad trafficking, ensuring flawless executionacross thousands of high volume, complicated campaignsRequirements:· Education: BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field· 4-6 years professional experience in a quantitative field at a mobile orconsumer web company· Performance marketing experience with the ability to analyze data andoptimize against KPIs· Experience with subscription / freemium marketing· Experience with developing, implementing, and reporting on AB tests· Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and to drive decisions with data· Excellent time management and attention to detail· Excellent written and communication skills· Unrivaled presentation skills· Ability to distill very complex concepts and testing into high-level, pithyelevator pitches· Ability to drive consensus in high-profile, executive-level meetings withmultiple key stakeholders· Cross-functional master, with innate ability to create and build keypartnerships and long-term collaborations with colleagues· Previous experience with mobile marketing and subscription marketing· Previous experience in management.
