Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing…

  • Use customers’ raw data and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel and PowerPoint to help them better understand their customer base
  • Make data-based recommendations to improve customers’ bottom line
  • Manage expectations of both internal and external personnel
  • Manage significant client interaction
  • Mentor junior analysts
  • Serve as project lead on one or more engagements
  • Consult with clients and internal account teams on analytical issues, such as predictive modeling, segmentation, experimental design, LTV, and program evaluation
  • Clearly articulate project goals and objectives to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage an analytical project team
  • Lead strategic and/or other non-analytics projects as part of a Wunderman Data Management’s integrated solution
  • Analyze every step from reading in the data received from the customer, rolling it up, analyzing the results, preparing the PowerPoint deck and presenting it to the customer
  • This is not the job where you are given a set list of tasks to do, but rather you must be able to go where the data tells you to go

Qualifications

What skills we’re looking for…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics or a related field – Master’s degree a plus
  •  Significant Experience with SAS, SQL, or any other analysis or database software
  • Four plus years of database marketing and analytics experience using data management and analytical methods
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multivariate statistical and modeling techniques
  • Experience with dealing directly with clients and managing expectations and presenting results
  • Must be able to get shoulder deep in the details to understand what the information is saying but yet keep your head above water in order to see the big picture and make strategic recommendations
  • Must be an independent thinker
  • Demonstrated ability to take abstract business issues as articulated by a client and translate these to an analytic solution that will resolve the issues for the clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multivariate statistical and modeling techniques
  • Experience with SAS
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be willing to work in the Richardson, TX office
