Job Description:

At present we have an excellent opportunity for a Manager, Logistics/Value Add Operations II in our Phoenix, AZ location.

This position provides leadership to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and service at the most competitive cost in support of company and division goals. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct management of the production capacity plan and execution in conjunction with sales & operations planning
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation based on the P&L to meet production demand
  • Work with functional team, sales and leadership to accomplish and develop strategy
  • Support new product introduction, production and engineering improvements
  • Meet or exceed financialbudget plans developed in conjunction with financial business partners
  • Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards where applicable for assigned programs
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to implement and maintain effective quality management systems. Identify root causes of issues and make recommendations on improvement as necessary.
  • Develop and implement process improvements leveraging Lean and Six Sigma concepts to improve operating costs, quality, safety and efficiencies
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures relating to safety, quality, regulatory, environmental and human resources
  • Coach, develop and mentor direct staff
  • Responsible for employee recruitment and retention for assigned department
  • Makes employee hiring, pay and performance decisions
  • Create, arrange and conduct business reviews with customers when required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University; or equivalent training, education and experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing people, including supervisors
  • Exceptional action and customer service orientation with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced, dynamic business environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills to be effective at building influential relationships with employees and internal/external customers
  • Strong business acumen to identify solutions for business problems
  • Strong quantitative and operations skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven ability to provide direction, motivate, develop and lead a team
  • Ability to effectively interact, negotiate, and influence staff in various levels of the organization

PreferredQualifications

  • Experience in a high-mix, medium-volume computer integration environment
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six-Sigma training
  • APICS certification
  • Oracle based ERP experience
