What Learning Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Learning Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction over multiple job families or areas of expertise, within the Learning function. This position focuses on leading the learning program, design, development and delivery for a clinical, operations and program setting.

Accountabilities

  • Leads training team of 6-8 employees that serve global leadership development
  • Creates a leadership development program by level for the global organization
  • Implements and iterates development programs to constantly build the skills of Cardinal Health's leaders.
  • Manages global learning business partners who conduct needs assessments to formulate the leadership programs and ultimately implement across the globe.
  • Aligns new concepts, technologies and products, with customer requirements, to address business challenges and equip employees with knowledge and skills to do their jobs
  • Conducts needs assessment and create a multi-method (micro learning, online, ILT) training program
  • Manages resource planning and allocation
  • Serves as an employee development thought leader, creating innovative solutions and sharing best practices with others
  • Works with business leaders and SMEs to keep learning content up-to-date, on target and accurate
  • Recruits and trains additional training resources, as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field, preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in learning and development field, required
  • Healthcare industry knowledge, preferred
  • Previous experience with employee development and coaching models, preferred
  • Previous management experience, preferred
  • Previous program development skills, required
  • Previous consulting skills, preferred
  • Previous program management experience, preferred
  • Previous training program creation experience (from the ground up), preferred
  • Strong analytical and process skills, preferred
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, and willing to roll up sleeves, driving for results by set deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast -paced environment
  • Must be a quick learner
  • High degree of verbal and written communication skills, required
  • Highly motivated, creative, self-sufficient and able to operate effectively, with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve desired results, particularly through working with others.
