The Manager, Learning and Development will develop, plan and personally execute strategic programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees throughout the organization. This high impact, critical position requires a strong, decisive, results-oriented leader who can think high level and then roll up their sleeves to drive the execution. This hands on role must have the ability to see and understand the overall goals across the organization and articulate a compelling learning strategy to achieve desired business outcomes while keeping their finger on the pulse of program delivery.


Essential Job Functions


· Lead the development of training programs to meet the needs of multiple learning styles, and audiences across all organizational levels and that are aligned with organizational goals and increase the capabilities and performance of teams

· Ensure the delivery of high-impact, interactive and e-learning material to include formal and informal training sessions and leader-led sessions

· Implement various learning methods companywide such as coaching, job-shadowing and mentoring

· Assess and define parameters for delivering and measuring learning; continually review opportunities for improvement and establish metrics for success

· Collaborate with senior leadership to anticipate needs, gather requirements and benchmark industry trends and best practices in training and development ensuring appropriate content

· Continually drive key corporate initiatives through creative ongoing training curriculum that teaches, inspires and drives results while measuring the impact of learning programs to ensure appropriate business outcome is achieved

· Work with our remote teams to continuously improve LYNX, Exela's proprietary Learning Management Systems and ensure best of breed user experience

· Work with field leaders to observe, evaluate, and report on key service delivery areas of the field team as appropriate; also work with field trainers to do the same

· Drive annual L&D programs including compliance training, performance management and succession planning

· Oversee training and L&D Specialists located both in the US and in other countries


Requirements

· Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar

· Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods

· Deep, super user knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices

· Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

· Experience in project management and budgeting

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen

· Ability to build rapport with employees across multiple countries

· Ability to manage staff in remote locations across various time zones and geographies

· BSc/BA in Business, Psychology or a related field

· Experience in a business services environment is preferred

· Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus

· Fluency in foreign languages is a plus
