Job Description

As a Manager | Lead Data Architect, you will create and implement a fluid, end-to-end vision for data flow through an organization and define and execute critical data management strategies to enable the health system’s technology goals. You will consult with clients on complex data strategy projects across financial, clinical, and operational venues while identifying opportunities to deliver client value through analytics and data infrastructure improvement, and lead road mapping for analytics-based initiatives. In this role you will review implementation plans and solution-level architectures to solve business problems and determine alignment with strategy and policy. You will also manage cross-functional, highly complex data analytics projects to develop high impact client solutions and lead the design and build of advanced data management solutions that provide data acquisition data quality, data transformation, master data management, and integration of data from disparate sources. In addition, you will ideate, develop and execute actionable reports and dashboards that reflect industry trends, competitive landscape and client-specific factors. As a member of this team, your responsibilities will include developing data models for advanced database structures, and merging new systems with existing warehouse structures. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and upgrading our data-delivery infrastructure and setting direction for our growing analytics portfolio as well as provide direct oversight of a team of data scientists, developers, analysts, and DBAs, ensuring that all environments within the data-delivery infrastructure are delivering consistent and quality output. You will drive application and data integration strategy, collaborate with the technology and health system leadership and build, manage and operationalize data pipelines. Finally, your responsibilities will also include implementing integration, defining and enforcing governance policies and procedures, define services, ensuring compliance and data governance along with data security requirements.
Your people management responsibilities will include managing routine associate situations. This includes directing the work efforts and results of a team of associates, developing team goals and managing them for results as well as developing associates through coaching performance reviews, goal setting and developmental planning. You will also be responsible for promoting diversity and creating a respectful work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Care, Analytics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of Operational, clinical, financial or health care metrics work experience
  • At least 7 years SQL work experience
  • At least 5 years data management, data-oriented programming and development work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of programming work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of report and data visualization development tool work experience such as Tableau, Tibco Spotfire, Business Objects, and Cerner proprietary reporting solutions
  • A minimum of 3 years working with a variety of API and other integration approaches such as HL7, FHIR in both a hands-on and leadership capacity
  • Experience with iPaaS (integration platform-as-a-service)
  • At least 5 years’ experience applying foundational principles of data management, modeling and architecture in support for warehousing, business intelligence, integration, and migration
  • At least 5 years managing team supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment

Expectations

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work on call shifts as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
