POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Inventory Integrity is responsible for proactive strategy and leadership of the Inventory team ensuring accuracy, customer service, and operational standards and controls are met in an efficient, innovative manner.  Collaborative with internal business partners, consultants and 3rd parties to develop and implement ‘best practice’ inventory solutions in support of AEO’s financial and supply chain goals.   

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ·         Ensure customer service, quality and safety standards are met; partner with all departments to address issues as needed

  • ·         Integration of the inventory function with cross-functional partners; DC Operations, Vendor Compliance, DC Systems Support and Supply Chain Planning ensuring alignment in execution and issue resolution
  • ·         Set team direction, goals & objectives based on priorities; anticipating change and adapting as necessary
  • ·         Manage and coach team members for growth and development ensuring morale, commitment and participation remains high; hold direct reports accountable to the AEO Way, department standards and expected performance metrics
  • ·         Professional Skepticism; questioning mind and critical assessment of people, process and technology
  • ·         Develop and deliver inventory analysis to identify, inform and guide decision making; recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comprehensive analyses; Ability to summarize results and insights presenting findings/actions appropriate to internal/external audience
  • ·         Responsible for reviewing and analyzing inventory adjustments as needed; validating shrink and reconciliation stores
  • ·         Review and complete inventory Investigation of all errors and resolution of open items with a focus on developing procedures to effectively reduce future issues and leverage learnings across other AEO DCs for best-practice sharing
  • ·         Accountable for improving overall facility inventory integrity and accuracy, including Location, Net and Absolute inventory unit adjustments and accuracy rate
  • ·         Support Corporate and DC inventory, accuracy and Operational process initiatives
  • ·         Serve as a consultant to provide point of view to the Operations team on matters of inventory control;  maintain subject matter expertise while understanding the priorities of the operation
  • ·         Resolve inventory related problems by effective communication with the Sr. Manager, local DC management and appropriate support teams
  • ·         Maintain consistent communication with Operations team on inventory processes and support
  • ·         Partners with Global DC Inventory team members for optimal communication, commitment and execution of processes
  • ·         Support and lead project teams, working cross-functionally, managing resources to drive current and new department initiatives and efficiencies to a successful, on-time delivery
  • ·         Represent Inventory needs in the development & implementation of new system improvements and enhancements
  • ·         Other duties and projects as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics or related disciplines
  • Three years management experience in a production/processing, auditor/loss prevention in a retail environment or equivalent; .com and/or “Omni-channel” retailing experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem solving and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong professional communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop direct reports
  • Self motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications
  • Ability to travel as necessary
