Job Description:


The Manager, Industry Education is responsible for developing a comprehensive B2B content strategy that helps TrueCar drive new sales opportunities and retention of clients (Auto dealers and Manufacturers). Reporting into the VP, Industry Education and Relations, this position will be responsible for the B2B content strategy, execution and promotion.

This includes creating relevant and targeted content that closely aligns with the TrueCar brand, company goals, product roadmap, sales pipeline and industry insights. To be successful, this role requires extensive collaboration across the organization including but not limited to Marketing Research, Sales, Operations, Product, and B2B Marketing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, research, plan, and develop content strategies and plans that align with company goals
  • Keep up-to-date on key industry insights and trends to ensure that content is relevant to the industry. This includes topics such as auto consumer shopping behavior, automotive trends, and best practices in digital marketing and sales.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders/subject matter experts to create compelling stories and content in the form of white papers, blog posts, case studies, infographics, and industry presentations that drive sales opportunities and client retention
  • Develop and manage an industry facing blog that houses B2B content
  • Coordinate the distribution of content through various channels including TrueCar's client facing website, industry publications, social media, emails, blogs, search campaigns, ads, etc.
  • Leverage insights and data to develop content themes and topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that best aligns to product and sales goals
  • Define and set KPIs and continuously gather and monitor feedback on content to continue to refine strategy and future direction.
  • Establish work-flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content
  • Ensure content is on-brand and consistent in tone, complying with SEO best practices, and collaborating with creative design to create compelling assets
  • Source, mine and repurpose content to maximize its value and shelf life
  • Keep up-to-date on key industry insights and trends to ensure that content is relevant to the industry. This includes topics such as auto consumer shopping behavior, automotive trends, and best practices in digital marketing and sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in a content marketing or editorial role
  • Proven track record of building content strategy to accomplish business goals
  • Key content marketing skills, including editorial, strategic planning, project management, analytics
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content
  • Hands-on ability to independently create a wide range of marketing assets including but not limited to client decks, infographics, blogs, social content, videos, etc.
  • Self-driven and comfortable in a fast-changing, dynamic environment with aggressive schedules
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, PR, or Marketing
  • Experience in the Auto Retail or Auto Digital industry is a plus
