The Manager of Learning and Development is responsible for increasing competency and capability levels within UHS through the establishment and delivery of leading learning and development processes and practices. This individual leverages in-depth learning and development knowledge and experience to provide expert solutions and services that are aligned with both UHS’ business goals and HR’s objectives and result in trained employees who are able to perform their job correctly and meet role requirements. The position focuses on managing the overall standards and protocols with the Learning and Development operations including establishing learning approaches and philosophies, monitoring their execution, and measuring competency levels. In this role, the Manager of Learning and Development ensures consistent application of tools across the organization, such as LMS utilization, in order to promote process and practice standardization that achieves both cost savings and improved operational performance.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology or a related discipline; 5 years of proven experience as a Learning and Development/Training Manager; current knowledge of effective learning and development methods, as well as familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
Master’s degree in a related field and Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferred.
