Delta Flight Products (DFP) is seeking a proactive, engaged leader to join the leadership team as a Manager to lead the Installation Engineering team within the In-flight Entertainment Engineering department.
As Manager you will be responsible to lead and develop a team of engineering talent. In this role you will have direct responsibility for:
Acquiring, on-boarding, setting goals, developing, and performance management of technical engineering talent.
Work assignments and providing guidance and direction with respect to advanced principles, theories, and concepts of complex technical subjects to engineering talent.
Leading as well as overseeing team's performance.
Ensuring proper training is provided for each employee.
Installation designs to integrate Wireless Inflight Entertainment (w-IFE) equipment into passenger seats and cabin monuments.
Ensuring regulatory compliance, qualification, and continued airworthiness of w-IFE developed harnesses installed in third-party passenger seats and cabin monuments.
Focusing on value added activities and challenges status-quo and/or wasteful processes and procedures.
Developing both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent or comparable work experiencerequired.
Experience leading engineering design teams (either formally or informally).
10 years' experience in the installation of components and systems installations into passenger aircraft.
Must have experience of aircraft installation design, substantiation techniques and certification requirements, and working with regulatory agency and/or OEM certification authorities.
