SUMMARY: Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs in order to maintain a safe, hazard/accident free workplace.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with corporate policies as well as local, state and federal regulations for the business unit. Required Experience 5 plus years professional/managerial experience in safety, health and environmental management or maritime, and transportation. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Power Point (testing will be conducted). The ideal candidate must have strong technical abilities in computer applications like Share Point , Office 365 among others.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Required Education Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science or engineering, marine engineering/transportation or related scientific or management discipline; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
