As part of a company wide program meant to revitalize the way LivaNova operates, we are setting up a global indirect procurement function to drive improvements on a global spend base.
The global travel category manager will be responsible for• Developing and driving sourcing strategies for all corporate travel (air, rail, cars, hotel) as well as marketing events and congresses• Leading and delivering significant spend reductions in travel• Monitoring and ensuring adherence to travel policies by working together with the installed travel agency/agencies in place• Following up on supplier performance againts contractual terms
• Lead cross-functional and/or cross-regional/franchise teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies       • Identify and codify business requirements      • Develop supplier and market intelligence      • Identify and realize synergy potential of vendor consolidation accross the world• Directly engage with suppliers on multiple levels      • Conduct negotiations, select suppliers, and administer contracts      • Define a set of supplier performance KPIs and proactively hold performance dialogues • Drive continuous improvement mentality within the travel category      • Define and implement annual productivity improvements in spend category       • Measure and track internal adherence to installed travel policy by using dashboards available through available channels e.g. travel booking agency      • Ensure and drive usage of procurement infrastructure designed for travel purposes (booking tools, corporate cards etc.)
Technical• Strategic ability to develop high-impact sourcing strategies• Strong knowledge about category management and TCO principles• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills• Category and supply base knowledge/insights• Ability to develop actionable implementation plans• Analytical skills to idenitfy top priority improvement areas• CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferred
Behavioral • Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills• Willing to constructively defend and challenge senior management thinking• Ability to engage a wide variety of stakeholders from internal leadership to supplier account management
 • Minimum of bachelor degree in business or similar subject areas
•5–7 years in procurement with proven track record in:       •Managing travel in a global organization       •Delivering year-on-year savings        •Driving change throughout the organization
