Manager – Global Supply Chain Product Data Management

The Manager – Global Supply Chain Product Data Management is responsible for the data creation of specific brand(s) and a specific category(ies) of products. For the brand(s) and/or category(ies) assigned, the Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate data creation and maintenance including phase out and discontinuation of saleable, promotional and collateral materials, specifically within the following processes:

  • Code creation / maintenance from new product launch throughout the life of the product

  • BOM management and maintenance for new and existing products throughout the life of the product

Master Data is the core data that enables the ability to process sales orders from order receipt through shipment to customers, and is the foundation upon which sales and business analysis is performed. Therefore, timeliness, accuracy, integrity and adherence to global data standards are of utmost importance in creating and maintaining material master data. This position is responsible for creating accurate master data for all finished good master data entered into ELC systems throughout the lifecycle of the product and ensuring that all data elements created for materials adhere to the global material master data standards.

This position will ensure maintenance of appropriate material statuses in accordance within established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and identify any missing or incorrect data elements. This position will interface with and serve as the primary contact for the business (customer service, marketing, supply chain, plants, etc.) on any internal and external issues pertaining to Material Master Data for the assigned brand(s) and/or category(ies).

This role will be reporting into the Director, GSC Product Data Management to be named at a future date.

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and build strong team relationships with cross-functional partners and customers to drive standards and efficiency in supply chain data management of product code and BOM creation/upticks.

  • Actively participate in global, regional, and local issue resolution as needed.

Problem Solving

  • Demonstrate logical understanding of how data and processes work together, especially in new launch managment and end-to-end product lifecycle data management.

  • Interprets marketing master data requirements into ELC's material master data standards and rules when creating master data for materials.

  • Demonstrates solid research, analytical, and problem solving skills to review business requirements and resolve business issues that align to ELC data standards and rules.

  • Interfaces on a daily basis with Marketing, New Product Launch Management, the Brand Supply Managers, Packaging, Costing, Formula Control and Global/Regional Plants/DCs.

Independence of Action and Accountability

  • 30% of time

  • Creates master data for all materials (code and BOM creation) for assigned brands and categories by applying ELC material master data standards and rules consistently throughout a product's lifecycle.

  • Ensures all master data at each stage gate is complete before releasing to the next process.

  • Monitors material statuses throughout a material's lifecycle in accordance with brand and plant direction to ensure statuses are appropriate for all saleable, promotional, and collateral materials.


Minimum 5 years experience

University Degree

General industry experience in one or more of the following areas required:

  • Global Brand Supply Chain (NPL)

  • Brand Supply Management (Uptick)

  • Costing

  • New Product Planning

  • Packaging Operations (Outline Creation)

  • Supply Chain Centers of Excellence

ELC experience preferred
