As Manager, Funding Operations, this leader ensures the team gathers all required documentation in a timely fashion, that loans are fully compliant, and that all key information is validated prior to funding. The Manager, Funding Operations is focused on opportunities to improve operational efficiency, initiates related projects and is actively engaged in ensuring credit quality standards are maintained.

The team has a strong customer service mandate, with all actions focused on ensuring the most positive customer and merchant experience. Additionally, this role requires strong credit knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to lead a devoted team of operational experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall operational leadership to the Funding Officer administration team and support them in identifying and resolving issues
  • Be an internal champion and voice for our Partners and Borrowers, delivering best in class customer service levels
  • Lead and coach Funding Officers, providing ongoing feedback, conduct formal performance reviews and support their professional development
  • Ensure timely completion of all tasks required to fund loans within established service levels
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and lead related projects to execution
  • Identify and develop initiatives & programs to enhance the borrower and partner experience
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for operational projects / enhancements
  • Gather and assess data, establish goals, and measure productivity / quality results
  • Manage escalations from external and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate team scheduling, ensuring staffing level aligns with anticipated loan volumes
  • Ensure documentation of procedural guides and training resources
  • Collaborate with other functional areas across the company to ensure compliance with company processes and alignment with corporate values

Requirements:

  • University Degreepreferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a project management / process improvement role
  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services (preference is experience in consumer lending, e-commerce or related credit industries)
  • A proven leader with the highest Customer Service standards
  • Strong understanding of lending practices and document management
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Desire to collect data to measure and improve document processing accuracy & efficiency
  • Effective communicator and proven ability to handle customer and partner conflicts
  • Ability to measure and balance work load of team members
  • Ability to multitask with limited supervision
  • Experience with scheduling and staffing
  • Knowledge of operational risk, and risk management principles
