About the position

The Annuities Distribution Finance Team is responsible for internal and external reporting, forecasting and analysis for $8b of Sales, $160b of Assets Under Management (AUM) and $300m of Distribution Expenses. The team also plays a key role by providing strategic support and analysis of distribution growth initiatives. Reporting to The Director of Distribution Finance within Annuities Finance, this position is responsible for managing and preparing internal and external Sales and AUM reporting, including consolidation and analysis of AUM drivers, quarterly financial statement reporting, monitoring and analysis of daily sales trends, providing insightful analysis around sales results including preparation of executive level presentation materials. This position provides strategic insights and support to many key stakeholders and leaders across The Annuities Business and Finance teams including, Sales Operations, National Sales Managers (NSMs), Strategic Relationship Management (SRM), The Annuities Financial Management team, Investor Relations, U.S. Businesses Finance, Business Intelligence and various Actuarial groups. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to collaborating with, motivating and influencing others and establishing processes and controls to insure accurate and timely reporting of monthly and quarterly close. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manages controls and timely submission of the Quarterly Financial Statement (QFS) for Annuities Assets Under Management (AUM Roll forward) and Sales by distributionchannel
  • Responsible for preparation and timely submission of comprehensive monthly sales deck for senior management that provides insightful analysis of Annuities monthly sales results
  • Responsible for Quarterly Results Review Pages (QRRP) for Annuities Sales and AUM Roll Forward and provides supporting details to senior management prior to the quarterly earnings call
  • Responsible for the quarterly reconciliation and timely submission of the Product Manufacturer Report (PMR) for Annuities Separate Accounts
  • Manages all aspects of internal sales reporting and analysis including daily sales trend analysis vs. run rates and forecast
  • Responsible for the quarterly Investor Relations Q&A as related to Annuities Sales and AUM
  • Prepares executive level presentation materials for the monthly sales forecast deck
  • Preparation of internal management reporting documents and presentation to senior management as needed
  • Provides support for the implementation of the Top 25 Firm Scorecard
  • Ensures appropriate internal controls are maintained, including data accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and analysis for ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; MBA, CPA or CFA a plus
  • 5+ years of accounting / financial analysisexperience
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Tableau is a plus
