Job Description

As the Manager of External Reporting, you will lead the preparation and coordination of the Company’s quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, while managing a team of two senior accountants. The Manager of External Reporting has high visibility with senior management through serving as an internal resource for guidance on reporting matters. You will also be responsible for the Company’s accounting for stock-based compensation, earnings per share calculations and the statement of cash flows.

Responsibilities of the Manager of External Reporting include:

• Lead, coordinate and review all aspects of the Company’s quarterly and annual filings with the SEC
• Stay current on FASB and SEC developments; lead the implementation of new financial reporting standards as prescribed by the FASB and SEC
• Manage the preparation of non-GAAP financial metrics and related reconciliations to corresponding GAAP measures for use in earnings releases and quarterly/annual SEC filings
• Manage the (i) accounting for stock-based compensation; (ii) reconciliation of common shares and treasury shares outstanding; and (iii) calculations of basic and diluted earnings per share
• Manage the preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows as well as monthly cash flow schedules for the Company’s operating segments
• Review and manage the work of two senior accountants; coach and develop the senior accountants to build up a high-performing External Reporting team
• Ensure close coordination with external auditors and internal process owners to facilitate the quarterly reviews and annual audit of our financial statements and internal controls
• Develop and maintain an effective internal control environment over the areas of responsibilities
• Review earnings releases, proxy statements and investor relations reporting media for accuracy and consistency
• Review XBRL data associated with quarterly and annual SEC filings and ensure accuracy
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax and Internal Audit.

Job Requirements

Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required
• CPA license required
Experience & Skills:
• Eight or more years of accounting experience; combination of experience with a large accounting firm and in industry preferred
• Experience with SEC reporting and XBRL required
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC rules/regulations as well as related reporting requirements
• Strong ability to research accounting/ reporting issues and document conclusion in a well-articulated memo
• Supervisory experience required
• Experience with stock-based compensation, statement of cash flows and basic/diluted earnings per share
• Experience with Workiva, SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to continually prioritize workload and respond to top priorities with a sense of urgency
• Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
