Required: Associate Degree and minimum of five years job-related experience. Associates Degree in job-related field. Leadership, communication, computer (Microsoft office, internet), equipment management programs (Maximo) and preventive maintenance.
Reporting to the Network Director of Safety & Security, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and enforcement of the Environment of Care (EOC) Safety Management and Regulatory Program in accordance with Federal, State, Joint Commission and Local Authority mandates.
This position provides leadership to managers and employees within the Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital facilities, and all licensed off site facilities as the dedicated EOC Safety Officer, and is responsible for the Environment of Care Compliance within Safety Management, Security Management, Fire & Life Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste Management, Medical Equipment Management and Utilities Management.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree, Certified Safety Professional desired. Mechanical/Electrical/Safety certification. Clinical engineering, infection control guidelines, waste management, recycling, six sigma, utilities systems, and asbestos management. Hours: 40 control hours.
