Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Ongoing responsibility for the design and implementation of an integrated information technology architecture for the corporation to include hardware, software, information, and networking requirements
Responsible for planning, directing and organizing the company’s information technology activities to include primary and support systems for print and merchandise; conducts detailed analysis of industry related technology to recommend improvement and enhancements to capabilities to give the company a competitive advantage in the marketplace; oversees the selection, implementation and maintenance of IT capabilities in accordance with an overall plan to implement and renew, as necessary, the components of the corporation’s information technology architecture
Responsible for obtaining or developing the requisite staff skills to implement and maintain Communicorp IT environment; Act as technical resource to senior management
Identify development, enhancement and maintenance priorities for applications; Develop and implement a uniform organization-wide strategy for equipment, operating systems and communications
versee all organization dealings with outside vendors of software and hardware, systems consultants and contractors and develops the annual budgets for hardware, software, personnel, outside contractors, etc.; monitors budget versus actual and decides appropriate action
Develops and implements all operational documents, policies and procedures and programs for training and education of new systems users and for orientation of all users to new or upgraded systems; Keep abreast of technological developments that would benefit the company
Ensure assigned projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner; Stays abreast of technological developments and best practices in the digital, print and merchandise industries; recommends improvements and purchases to achieve business goals
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, management information systems, business, marketing or a related field and five years of progressively responsible work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years in a management or leadership role required
Experience in broad range of industries, and some print industry experience preferred.
