Job Description

The person in this position is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of an engineering team as it applies to the Network and Systems Engineering, support, architecture efforts and development support of Scientific Games products

Essential Job Functions:
• Will act as the lead expert within the team of systems or networking technologies
• Leads systems and network engineers in applying widely accepted “best practices” for controlling projects progress, costs and resources in relation to planned schedule, milestones, and deliverables
• Ensures a stable and resilient infrastructure of various systems and network components using Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, and VMWare products
• Build relationships based on trust and gains buy-in through effective communications and influence. Acts with integrity and honors commitments
• A leader who “walks the talk” and rolls up his/her sleeves and gets actively involved with the project.  
• A strong advocate of team building
• Serves as technical lead for proof of concept/pilot projects to research how specific technologies can be incorporated
• Leads technical architecture and design reviews and technical signoff at both elaboration and construction phases of project
• Participates in product approvals for multiple jurisdictions and agencies
• Creates and maintains positive relationships with gaming regulatory agencies and testing labs
• Evaluates and provides written and oral opinions in new products and market opportunities
• Main point of contact and lead subject matter expert related to system,network, or application issues and provides 24x7on callavailability

Job Requirements

Training and/or Experience:
• Minimum of five years experience in relevant engineering field
• Minimum of two years experience in project management or related work experience
• Minimum of two years experience in managing personnel

•  Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline
• Master’s preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and documents
• Must have working knowledge of engineering tools and methodologies
