Job Responsibilities:

Coordinates and manages job functions performed by distribution and receiving staff in a 24/7 environment. Acts as a point of contact for escalated issues in reference to any of the assigned departments. Create, maintain and ensure standard work processes for distribution and receiving are being followed. Initiate and attend scheduled one on one sessions with each of the reporting staff members to identify issues that can be addressed in order to make daily work more efficient. Develop positive working relationship with staff members that encourages the ideas of constant improvement. Coordinate and serve as a point of escalation for daily standing huddles with staff. Develop goals and maintain metrics to track department's progress in key indicators of work performance. Ensure highly functioning relationship are maintained between distribution, receiving, transportation and inventory control. Manages projects or is key resource in materials management projects including developing and maintaining standard work. Engage key stakeholder department leaders to coordinate and manage ordering and delivery schedules. Identify and initiate conversations with departments that may be in need of assistance in management of stock. Provide expertise in ordering and stocking processes to better manage pars for individual departments. Assist Director and Assistant Director in developing programs to better serve end users. Assists with budget preparation and monitors monthly expenses. When necessary and on own initiative will be called upon to perform any of the duties in the department as daily conditions warrant. Be available to fill in while Assistant Director is out of the office to include overseeing Distribution as well as make critical decisions with the guidance of other Supply Chain leaders that may have an effect on the entire organization. Be a creative problem solver that is willing to think outside the box.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Warehouse Management would be considered a plus. Experience in Operating Room Materials Management, Health Care industry and Central Sterile Reprocessing experience helpful.)

• 7 or more years' experience in Distribution, Inventory Control, or Warehouse Management could be accepted in lieu of a degree

• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

• CMRP Certification preferred

• Must possess ability to work well with staff, bringing out the best in them, so that department can perform at its highest level

• Must understand the necessity of delivering excellent customer service

• Superior organizational skills and time management

• Must be comfortable interacting with all staffing levels of a large organization
